Allworx Reach Privacy Policy

Effective on 2014-09-23

This privacy statement describes how Allworx collects and uses the personal information you provide. It also describes the choices available to you regarding our use of your personal information and how you can access and update this information.

Location Services

We do not request, collect, or access your location information.

Collection and Use

We collect the following personal information from you:

  • Login credentials (user name, password) for your Allworx Server
  • IP address of your Allworx Server
  • Device information

We automatically gather information about your device such as its IP address, model, and operating system.

We use your login credentials solely to present to your Allworx Server for authentication of your identity and verification that your Allworx Server administrator has authorized your access. Allworx never comes into possession of your login credentials.

Creating an Allworx Reach handset verifies your authorization with your Allworx Server, and activating the handset posts device and server license information to the Allworx Portal, so that Allworx can keep track of app uses for which Allworx must pay royalties. Personal login credentials are not sent to Allworx.

The app's "Report a Problem" feature, if you use it to get technical support, will compose an email that will be sent via your device's mail app (from your email address), containing detailed application logs that include your Allworx user name, your Allworx Server's IP address, and information on recent SIP calls and recent WiFi access point SSIDs. The logs do not contain your password information.

Sharing Your Information

We will share your information with third parties only in the ways that are described in this privacy statement.

We may disclose your personal information (to the extent we have any):

  • as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, or similar legal process.
  • when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request.
  • if Allworx is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, you will be notified via email and/or a prominent notice on our Web site of any change in ownership or uses of your personal information, as well as any choices you may have regarding your personal information.
  • to any other third party with your prior consent to do so.

We or a third party contracted by us may gather aggregated information to understand and optimize how our app is used.

To assist us in identifying and fixing bugs, Allworx also receives crash reports (that do not include any personal information).

The security of your personal information is important to us. When you provide sensitive information (such your login credentials) to us, we protect the transmission of that information.

We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. No method of transmission, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

If you have any questions about security of our app, you can contact us at
